Daniel Schweimler is a former BBC correspondent. He worked for three years as their South America correspondent. Before that he was their man in Havana, Madrid and Mexico. He's also contributed to The Economist, The Guardian, Financial Times and many more on a range of topics from politics to sport, economics to culture. He's currently based in Buenos Aires where he's working as a freelancer, making a documentary about ethanol production in Brazil and writing about football in Argentina.
