An Australian man has been charged with raping his daughter almost every day for three decades and fathering four children by her in a case that has been likened to that of Josef Fritzl. The man, who has not been named, is accused of keeping his daughter a virtual prisoner in her own home and sexually abusing her from the age of 11. The woman, who is now aged in her forties, finally reported the rapes to police in the southern state of Victoria two years ago. It is claimed she did not come forward sooner because her father threatened violence against her mother and siblings.The case has shocked Australia, with child welfare groups calling for an inquiry into why the authorities failed to investigate the alleged abuse despite being warned years ago.
